I can't believe that Colorado has enacted laws to make it illegal to collect rainwater. I understand that the water crisis is obviously a huge deal (and it's only going to be made worse unless tons of action is taken) but shouldn't we be working towards real CHANGE that will prevent a water shortage instead of making laws that may not really help that much?
I feel like this is why individuals can be more successful in creating real change than big corporations or government acts. For example, I know this guy Christopher Swain who just started a 1,000 mile swim from Massachusetts to Washington D.C. to raise awareness about healthy oceans. He's spreading the word about water pollution by visiting thousands of classrooms along the way. I feel like he'll have a much more positive impact on our future (the kids!) than a Colorado law.
